At Bandits Hockey, our focus is on developing players... but let’s be honest, without parents, there would be no players! We know this, we appreciate it, and we truly cherish our hockey parents.

From getting players to practices and sessions, juggling schedules, cheering from the stands, and yes... opening those wallets! The parents are the heartbeat of the Bandits family. Your dedication keeps this program alive and thriving.

Beyond the logistics, parents play a critical role in player development. What’s said in the car ride home, at the dinner table, and during family conversations shapes how players think, feel, and grow. That energy and attitude carry directly into the locker room and onto the ice.

When parents are engaged, positive, and connected, players notice and they respond. An enthusiastic parent in the stands often means a more motivated player on the ice. When your kids see you having fun, meeting other families, and enjoying the Bandits experience, they feel that same sense of community and belonging that makes our program so special.

The Bandits Parent Committee — affectionately known as Da’ Bandit Posse, is led by a parent representative who sits on the Bandits Board. This group works independently from the board to organize events, activities, and community-building initiatives that enhance the Bandits experience for everyone.

Together, they plan fun, creative ways to bring Bandits families together while supporting the program’s mission of development without politics, pressure, or pretense.

Upcoming & Ongoing Parent Committee Events

BANDITS Nights Out

Partnering with local restaurants and businesses to give a percentage of sales back to the program. (Examples: Buffalo Wild Wings Night, Chipotle Night, Texas Roadhouse Night.)

Night Crawler

A unique night event where players light up the night with glow gear and can rollerblade, bike, run, or walk a 5K, 10K, or 25-mile course. A fun, family-friendly way to celebrate being a Bandit! (See the Events tab for more details.)

Bandits Golf Tournament

Our annual fundraiser golf tournament with both adult teams and player teams. A day full of fun, friendly competition, and community. (More info on the Events tab.)

Hockey Game Outings

Group trips (utilizing the Bandits Bus) to watch the Minnesota Wild, Iowa Wild, Gophers, and other exciting hockey matchups. These outings build team spirit and keep the Bandits family connected beyond the rink. (More info on the Events tab.)
