Our Development Mission
Our Development Programs are our Focus!
Our coaches are committed to purposeful, structured training. We don’t just run routine drills. We teach the why behind every drill and station. Our practices combine edgework, power skating, small-area skill development, and full-ice concepts in a way that challenges each player at their own level.
Edgework & Power Skating
Strong skating is the foundation of great hockey. Every Bandits program begins with a edgework and power skating session that develops balance, agility, and explosive speed.
Skill Development & Game Play
We also emphasize small-area skill work once a week as well as a full-ice session/concept drills to build hockey IQ, decision-making, and team play. Players will experience realistic game scenarios that encourage creativity, communication, and competitiveness... all this within a supportive learning environment.
Goalie Development
Goalies are a vital part of every team and we make sure they get the attention they deserve.
Our goaltenders are fully integrated into every session and receive specialized instruction through our Mini Goalie Camp built directly into the program.
- Dedicated goalie-specific coaching during all ice sessions
- One goalie coach for every two goalies (target ratio)
- Active participation in all skill stations and small-area games, they are never just “targets”
- Inclusion in dryland training alongside skaters to build athleticism and teamwork
We ensure our goalies are always developing, engaged, and improving... not sitting still.
Program Levels
To provide the right challenge for every player, Bandits Hockey offers three program tiers:
- Beginner – Building confidence, skating technique, and core fundamentals
- Intermediate – Advancing skills, improving transitions, and adding situational awareness
- Advanced – Refining elite movements, puck control, and competitive play
Each level features tailored instruction, so players progress at their own pace while still benefiting from shared team environments.
Professional Partnerships
We are proud to partner with professional organizations specializing in:
- Edgework & power skating
- Dryland strength and conditioning
- Elite small-area on-ice skill development
These collaborations ensure that Bandits players receive high-quality, age-appropriate training from experts in their fields.
